Aziza Atta

Aziza is a Ghanaian and UK-qualified corporate and commercial lawyer. Aziza has been in legal practice for over twenty years and has particular expertise in commercial advice and financial transactions. Prior to joining Stafford Law, Aziza worked with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Norton Rose Fulbright. Aziza has experience of complex multi-jurisdictional transactions worldwide, with particular experience in Europe, West Africa, the Middle East and South America. Aziza has advised numerous corporations on financial structuring, incorporation and various compliance issues.  She has acted for a wide range of financial institutions including Barclays Capital, Nomura International Plc, Société Général and BNP Paribas.

She advised Barclays Global Investors in their launch of three alternative finance index-linked exchange traded funds that are listed on the London Stock exchange. As a member of the UK HMRC Technical Group for Alternative Finance and has been involved in providing advice to the UK Government and the Financial Services Authority in relation to legislative and regulatory efforts to accommodate Alternative Finance in the UK.  Aziza is fluent in English, German, French and Spanish.
